Inbody Body Analysis Machine
Border Dietitians are here to help motivate and encourage clients to become fitter, healthier and happier!
As part of this commitment, we aim to provide clients with accurate, timely information and feedback that helps clients progress on their quest to lead healthier lives.
Border Dietitians are very pleased to be able to offer clients a non-intrusive way of determining a client's body composition and monitor how it changes over time as their lives become healthier.
We have recently purchased an Inbody 230 bioimpedance analysis machine which is able to provide our clients with a detailed print -out of their body's composition without having to undress or use skinfold calipers.
The Inbody can determine a person's weight, BMI, waist circumference, percentage body fat, percentage lean (skeletal) muscle mass and percentage total body water.
The Inbody provides information on segments of the body. It can determine the amount of fat and muscle in each arm, leg and the trunk. It also gives an approximate reading of bone and mineral status.
Many clients find this information very motivating as they can see the positive changes made from changing their lifestyle. Scales will only give you a change in total body weight but are not able to tell you whether you are losing fat weight or muscle weight. This is where the Inbody is useful. It can tell you whether you have lost fat weight or muscle weight.
For more information, please read the Inbody 230 Catalogue.pdfFor clients who have made an appointment or intend to make an appointment, please read the BIA instructions before coming in to Border Dietitians to be measured.BIA_instructions_for_clients.pdf
